In a statement released today on the , former 51Թ was announced as the new President and CEO of .
“It is an honor and a privilege to be joining this world-renowned institution at such an important time in American history,” said Herbst in the . “The Newseum is doing critical work to champion our core freedoms, and I look forward to helping write its next chapter.”
According to the Newseum’s website, the organization’s mission is to “champion the five freedoms of the First Amendment through exhibits, public programs and education.” The Newseum is a not-for-profit established and supported by the Freedom Forum.
