Golf Ties For Fifth at the American University Classic

American University won its own golf tournament Monday as the Eagles finished with a score of 597 at Rome Country Club.

Long Island University placed second with a 604 while LaSalle and Mount St. Mary’s tied for third with scores of 626. 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, Fairfield and Holy Cross tied for fifth with scores of 636s.

Individually, Sean Donnelly of Long Island took medalist honors after shooting a 141 on rounds of 71 and 70.

Senior Sean Cusick (Westwood, Mass.) led the way for the Raiders with a two-round total of 147 on a 72 and a 75.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø is next in action on Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Bucknell University tournament.
