Hamilton – Catherine Kodat, assistant professor of English and American studies at Hamilton College, will participate in the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Humanities Colloquium on Tuesday, March 2 at 4:00 p.m. in the Robert Ho Lecture Room (Lawrence Hall). The title of her lecture will be ‘I’m Spartacus: Or, To Russia With Love.’
Kodat, who holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in English from Boston University, specializes in Twentieth-century American literature, including African American literature, and also has research interests in twentieth-century American ballet and modern dance; music, especially jazz and modern Western art music; feminism; film; contemporary literary theory and theories of modern and postmodern culture. She has previously taught at Tufts University, Boston College, and Boston University:
