On Monday, George Vecsey will give a lecture in Olin Hall titled An American non-fiction author and columnist for The New York Times, Vescey moved to cover Appalachia for the newspaper and found that the region struck him. He discovered a new world of politics, history, music, and coal mining. Vescey’s lecture is part of the “Moving Mountains in Appalachia” series, a that has brought many speakers to campus this fall.
Want to improve your writing and hone your skills? On Tuesday go to “AWK! How to Interpret Professor Comments and Use Feedback to Improve Your Writing,” a mini-lecture that will have you more confident using your professors’ help to aid your writing in no time. For more information, go .
