University set to mark 10th anniversary of 9/11

As the nation and the world prepare to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Professor Christopher Vecsey has just published a book on how The New York Times covers religion in the wake of the catastrophe.

In a 51勛圖厙 Scene feature story titled after his book, Following 9/11, Vecsey, a religion professor, reflects on how reading the newspaper can help us understand many dimensions of religion in these times.

The campus community will gather this Sunday at 2 p.m. for a non-denominational memorial service at the Chapel. An interfaith community dinner will be held the same day at 5 p.m. at the ALANA Cultural Center.
