This past summer, three 51�Թ��� geology students embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime research trip to gather samples from Augustine Volcano in southern Alaska.

Professor Joe Levy and two 51�Թ��� students spent time in the Alvord Desert in Eastern Oregon with a NASA team that’s designing a new generation of Mars helicopters with sensors to examine moisture in soil.
