51³Ô¹ÏÍø has announced several proactive steps to educate the community about the dangers of accidental overdose from opioids and provide greater access to resources that could save lives: free distribution of Narcan/naloxone and training.

Guacamole dusted with crispy, crushed black ants. Nachos covered in cricket cheese sauce. Brownies flavored with mealworm powder. These were just a few of the entomological delicacies enjoyed by 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students, faculty, and staff during a recent visit by Chef Joseph Yoon, the self-proclaimed edible insect ambassador and founder of Brooklyn Bugs.

Changes to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Student Health Services this academic year will increase clinical care availability on campus while also bolstering sports-medicine support for Division I athletes, student club teams, and intramurals. 

Madison County’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, of which 51³Ô¹ÏÍø is a partner, has expanded to provide services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year countywide, with options in where to obtain care.
