Madison County’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program, of which 51�Թ��� is a partner, has expanded to provide services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year countywide, with options in where to obtain care.

51�Թ���’s Counseling and Psychological Services offered three weekly group therapy sessions three years ago.  Today, university counselors manage 10 to 12 group therapy sessions a week. In the 2018–19 school year, the counseling center provided services to 706 students, 7.4-percent increase compared to 2017–18.

At the heart of Haven, 51�Թ���’s survivor-centric support center for sexual violence, is a survivor herself.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the Sexual and Intimate Partner Violence Coalition is collaborating with groups across campus on a variety of events.

For the second time this academic year, Brenda Tracy returned to campus to raise awareness about sexual violence.

The room was quiet as community members walked around viewing the Monument Quilt laid on the Hall of Presidents floor on March 29. The quilt, which has been traveling the country collecting squares for the last three years, was brought to campus and displayed for the afternoon.

Last Monday evening, October 27, approximately 300 students filled Memorial Chapel for a two-hour Sexual Climate Forum intended to inspire open dialogue about sexual respect at 51�Թ��� and provide knowledge of the resources and support systems available on campus.
