Legendary newsman Howard Fineman ’70 has died at the age of 75 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Last weekend, nearly 2,100 alumni returned to campus for Reunion 2024 to reconnect with longtime friends, reflect on the history of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, and look toward its future.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø will mark the beginning phases of the Lower Campus Initiative under the Third-Century Plan this summer with construction and restoration projects at 66 and 70 Broad Street.

Jonathan Eaton ’24 of Bethel, Conn., is the recipient of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Alumni Corporation 1819 Award.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Center for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation, which is nearing completion and expected to open in the fall, will be named Bernstein Hall in honor of the lead donor’s genealogical roots.

Jessica Johnson ’22 has been selected for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program.

For the sixth year in a row, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø has been designated as a Top Producing Institution of Fulbright U.S. students, Fulbright reported today in The Chronicle for Higher Education.  

A major landscape and infrastructure project designed to better connect the upper and middle areas of campus at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will begin this month.

Demolition to begin in February, followed by expected 21-month construction period.
